Narine Abgaryan: Manyunya. Narine abgaryan - manyunya Stories for New Year and Christmas

Narine Abgaryan honestly admits that he does not like popularity. The writer does not have Instagram, and women have only a few neutral posts on Twitter. Narine prefers to open his soul to his readers in books. And, despite the ambiguous genre of works - children's literature for adults, the reader reciprocates her. For example, in 2016 Abgaryan received the prestigious Yasnaya Polyana Prize, which is awarded to authors who carry the ideals of philanthropy and morality.

Childhood and youth

The future creator of "Manyuni", the main characters of which the girl will write off from herself and her friend Maria Shats in the future, was born in a small town in Armenia called Berd. The girl was born on January 14, 1971. After Narine, the Abragyan spouses gave birth to 3 more girls and a long-awaited boy, who diluted the kingdom of whispering sisters.

The friendly family spent a lot of time on joint trips around Armenia. The entire flavor of the mountainous area will later be reflected in the writer's works. Many years later, in an interview “ Russian newspaper“Narineh will say about his nationality that a lot of Armenian, Russian and universal is mixed in it.

Another hobby of Abgaryan was books. Children, like adults, spent a lot of time reading.

After graduating from school, Narine enters the Yerevan State Linguistic University. V. Ya. Bryusov, but, having received a diploma "teacher of Russian language and literature," the girl does not work in her specialty for a day. Narine understands that becoming a teacher is not her destiny, and in 1993 she moved to Moscow to find her calling.

However, in Russia, the talent of the writer is not immediately revealed. At first, Narine works in various fields, and later decides to get an accountant's diploma.

Literature

Writing became a kind of outlet for Narine. At one point, many problems fell on the woman: work as an accountant did not bring pleasure, the relationship with her husband was strained, her son fell ill. And the doctors made a difficult diagnosis for Narine herself, hinting that the woman had little time left.

To distract herself from the problems, Abgaryan opened a personal account in LiveJournal (LiveJournal social network), where she published short stories based on her own childhood memories. Such a release of accumulated emotions brought an unexpected result. The son quickly recovered, the next tests confirmed that Narine's diagnosis was wrong.

In addition, the blog, constantly replenishing with new stories, attracted the attention of both the general public and serious publishers. Narine's works attracted the interest of "Astrel-SPb", and in 2010 the novel "Manyunya" was published. The first print run of books about the adventures of two little girls in the mountains of Armenia was sold out in just over a week.

The rookie novelist's debut was shortlisted for the prestigious 2011 Big Book award, but was not a finalist. A year after the first story, a continuation of the fascinating story is published under the title "Manyunya writes a fantastic novel." The novel Manyunya, Ba's Anniversary and Other Troubles, which appeared in bookstores in 2012, completed the trilogy that Abgaryan wrote about cute fidgets.

And between work on children's stories, the writer creates the novel "Come in large numbers". Like the story about Manyun, the book has many autobiographical moments. In an interview, Narine admits that this work is the most unloved of the writer. One of the main reasons is that there is too much swearing in the book, which looks unconvincing on the pages of the novel.

In 2014, after the publication of children's books and more serious literature, a period of joint creativity begins in Narine's biography. Together with Valentin Postnikov, the writer publishes the fairy tale "Chocolate Grandpa". The children liked the light work so much that the authors were besieged with requests to write a sequel. The writers agreed to consider such a possibility.

In 2015, Narine returns to serious literature again. In the novel Three Apples Fell From the Sky, Abgaryan exposes the problems that really hurt the writer. A woman often speaks in her interviews about old age and attitudes towards old people. By the way, the writer does not like the word "old man", but so far she cannot find the correct synonym for it.

Later, the editor of the Odessa comic magazine "Fountain" turned to Narine and invited the writer to become the author of the stories. Now in the online edition you can read 3 works of Abgaryan: "Driving Lessons, or How to brake with your back foot", "About Uncle Aram" and "How I Didn't Become a Millionaire."

In 2017, touching quotes from the writer's works took on a separate life. Publishing house "AST" has released a notebook "Life - it is where we are loved." The notebook is decorated with aphorisms of the already famous author and illustrations by Elena Zhukovskaya.

Personal life

In conversations with journalists, Narine diligently avoids the topic of his own family. It is known that the writer is raising her son, who was born in Moscow in 1995. The young man, whose name is not disclosed and in his personal records appears exclusively as "son", graduates from university and meets with a girl. The only thing Narine dreams of is for the descendant to wait with the children for now.

Not much more is known about Abgaryan's husband. The spouse of the writer, as it became known from the woman's online diary, is tall. As soon as the man saw the short Narine, he immediately decided to marry. After six months of courtship, young people began to live together.

Narine divorced her husband in 2017. Most of all, the woman's parents worried about the divorce. During the "Conversation with writers about old age" project, Abgaryan admitted that mom and dad were concerned about public opinion. After all, an adult woman was left alone. The writer herself claims that she reacted philosophically to divorce.

Narine Abgaryan now

In January 2018, the writer presented a new creation - a book called "Continue to Live". The work tells about the fate of people whose peaceful existence was interrupted by the war. The writer plans to create another book about military conflicts. Only this time, write a consoling and funny piece that will not put pressure on the reader.

The writer continues to be guided in her work by the principle of "not a day without a line." Narine admits that otherwise she would have abandoned books long ago. The writer creates her own works with jazz.

In March 2018, two books by Abgaryan were published in French. “People who are always with me” and “Three apples fell from the sky” Narine presented at the French national fair. The last of the mentioned works became a bestseller in Bulgaria.

Recently, Narine returned to maintaining a personal page in LJ, which she uses to express personal thoughts, to save her favorite recipes, and as her own official website.

Three apples fell from the sky

A wise story about relatives, about the Little Homeland and those who live high in the mountains. All inhabitants of these territories hide within themselves the true treasures of the spirit.

There are moments here that at first do not attract attention in the story, but you will unconsciously emphasize them, wondering why? And after some time, you will receive an answer from the writer herself ..

This novel has a thread running through the entire plot that tightly binds all the characters and the audience. It was created with a great feeling of love for their native places, which are now almost forgotten by the youth.

All about Manyun (collection)

I have always dreamed of seeing myself as a child.

For example, a 5-year-old girl. She was plump, with a blush, with her hair burnt out under the scorching sun. I loved interacting with caterpillars. I asked them all sorts of questions and constantly expected answers. The caterpillars either turned into balls or crawled away from me. Without words.

I wanted so much to look at myself when I was little that I once took and wrote a book about this time. About my family and our friends. About the place where I was born. About the people who live there.

Come in large numbers

A young but proud beauty arrives to conquer the Russian capital. The dashing 90s are in the yard, and Moscow is becoming different for everyone. Someone instantly falls in love with this place and considers it magnificent. The capital happily does not welcome someone and presents many problems ...

This is a novel about a small piece of the life of "come in large numbers".

There is room for both pertinent irony and captivating personal stories. Will a newcomer be able to become a Muscovite?

People who are always with me

In the first moments, it seems that the novel tells the story of several generations of one large family - about its joys, problems, happiness, defeats, ups and downs. But in reality, the work is much deeper.

It reflects the history of not just a family, but a whole country, all the people who live in it, and each person in particular.

The book will be interesting even for those who do not consider themselves a fan of this genre.

Zulali (collection)

This is a novel about the bitter and funny world of people who exist without paying attention to time.

People who have no fear of flying and know how to see something funny even in a tragic one. The world of elders and children, adults and those who lost their faith, but did not give up.

INSTEAD OF INTRODUCTION

How many provincial towns do you know, divided in half by a ringing whispering river, on the right bank of which, at the very top of the cliff, rise the ruins of a medieval fortress? An old stone bridge is thrown across the river, strong, but not at all high, and during the flood the river that overflowed the banks seethes with cloudy waters, striving to cover it with its head.

How many provincial towns do you know that rest on the palms of rolling hills? As if the hills stood in a circle, shoulder to shoulder, arms extended forward, closing them into a shallow valley, and in this valley the first low sakli grew. And the smoke from the stone stoves stretched into the heavens in a thin lace, and the plowman started up in a low voice ... “Aniiii-ko, - putting a wrinkled hand to his eyes, an ancient old woman was straining, - Aniiii-ko, where did you run away, worthless girl, who will gatu stove ? "

How many provincial towns do you know where you can climb the high outer wall of a ruined castle and, freezing with fear and clinging cold fingers to the shoulders of friends, look down to where a white, nameless river is foaming in the depths of the gorge? And then, not paying attention to the sign with a formidable inscription: "Protected by the state" - climb the fortress in search of hidden passages and untold riches?

This castle has an amazing and very sad history. In the 10th century, it belonged to the Armenian prince Tslik Amram. And the prince went with an army to his king Ashot II Bagratuni, because he seduced his wife. A difficult internecine war began, paralyzing the country for many years, which was already drained of blood by the raids of the Arab conquerors. And the unfaithful and beautiful princess, tormented by remorse, hanged herself in the castle tower.

For many centuries, the fortress stood on a rock, impregnable from all sides. But in the 18th century there was a terrible earthquake, the rock shook and fell into two parts. On one of them, the remains of the eastern wall and internal buildings of the castle have been preserved, and a fast-footed river ran along the gorge formed below. Old-timers said that from under the fortress and up to Lake Sevan there was an underground tunnel, through which weapons were brought when the fortress was under siege. Therefore, it withstood all the raids of the nomads and, had it not been for that earthquake, it would have stood up unharmed until now.

The town that later grew up around the ruins was named Byrd. Translated from Armenian - a fortress.

The people in this town are very, very specific. No one in the world has seen more stubborn or even fiercely obstinate people. Because of their stubbornness, the inhabitants of the town deservedly bear the nickname "stubborn donkeys". If you think that this offends them in some way, then you are very mistaken. On the streets, you can often hear the following dialogue:

Well, what are you trying to achieve, I'm a Berdsky donkey! It's very difficult to convince me.

So what? By the way, I am also a real Berd donkey. And it is still a question of who will yield to whom now!

In summer, Vardavar is celebrated in Armenia - a very joyful and bright holiday, rooted in a distant pagan prehistory. On this day, everyone, young and old, water each other with water. From morning until late evening, from any container. The only thing that is required of you is to soap yourself well, open the front door of your apartment and stand in the doorway. You can rest assured that a crowd of people soaked to the skin is waiting for you behind the threshold, who will pour a ton of water on you with a wild cry and laughter. You can wash yourself in such a simple way. Kidding.

In fact, if strangers poured water on you on the street, you should never be offended - it is believed that water on this day has healing powers.

So that's it. The Apostolic Church tried to somehow systematize the national holidays and, embarking on all the hardships, approved a strictly fixed day for Vardavar. Absolutely not taking into account the obstinacy of the inhabitants of our town.

And it would be worth it. Because now we have the following situation: throughout the republic Vardavar is celebrated at the direction of the Church, and in Berd - in the old fashioned way, on the last Sunday of July. And I assure you, if the Catholicos had issued a special decree specifically for the inhabitants of our town, nothing good would have come of it. Let His Holiness not even try, tell him so. You can come to an agreement with our people only when they want it.

That is, never.

Now, in fact, about the main characters of our story.

Once upon a time, there were two families in the town of Berd - Abgaryan and Shats.

The Abgaryan family could boast of a wonderful and rock-solid dad Yura, a selfless and wonderful mother Nadia and four daughters of different sizes and ages - Narine, Karine, Gayane and Sona. Then the long-awaited son Hayk was born in this happy family, but it happened a few years after the events described. Therefore, only four girls appear in the story. Dad Yura worked as a doctor, mother taught Russian language and literature at school.

The Schatz family boasted a Ba.

Of course, in addition to Ba, the Schatz family included two more people: Uncle Misha, Ba's son, and Manyunya, Dyadimishina's daughter and, accordingly, Ba's granddaughter. But the family, first of all, could boast of the Ba. And only then - by all the other no less wonderful members. Uncle Misha worked as an engineer, Ba - as a mother, grandmother and a housewife.

For a long time, the heroes of our story practically did not communicate, because they did not even suspect about the existence of each other. But one day a story happened that brought them closer together once and for all.

It was 1979. The 34th anniversary of Victory is on the nose. The next event was planned in the city house of culture to honor the war veterans. The choir of the Berd music school was entrusted with a responsible mission - to perform the "Buchenwald alarm" by Sobolev and Muradeli.

The choir rehearsed desperately, breaking his voice to hoarseness. The wonderful choirmaster Sergo Mikhailovich suffered endlessly, pushing the bass, which, with annoying consistency, hung for half a beat in the introduction. Sergo Mikhailovich wrung his hands and lamented that with such a performance of the Buchenwald alarm, they would disgrace the whole city and as punishment the choir would be disbanded to hell. For some reason, the choristers were upset.

Day x has come.

And you know what I'll tell you? Everything would have been all right, if not for the long two-stage bench, on which, during a short intermission, the second and third rows of the choristers were feverishly hoisted. Everything turned out in an exemplary way - the song flowed smoothly and emotionally, the bass entered unexpectedly in time, Sergo Mikhailovich, conducting, dashed across the stage in such zigzags, as if he was being chased by an evil wasp. The choristers were uniformly covered with goosebumps from the solemnity of the moment. The hall, at first intrigued by the chaotic movements of the choirmaster, was imbued with a pathetic alarm and fell silent.

Nothing, nothing foreshadowed trouble.

But suddenly. In words. "The international columns are talking to us." The chorus heard. At home. Behind the back. Strange crackling sound. The first row of choristers did not dare to turn around, but from the elongated face of the choirmaster he realized that something terrible was happening behind.

The first row wavered, but did not interrupt the singing stoically, and on the phrase: “Do you hear the thunderclaps? This is not a thunderstorm, not a hurricane, "- the bench under the second and third rows collapsed with a crash, and the guys fell down.

Then the veterans wondered how they, being people of a rather old age, thundering orders and medals, jumped over the high side of the stage in one jump and began to rake a bunch of children.

The choristers were in despair - everyone understood that the performance had failed. It was offensive and sickening, and the children, dusting off their clothes, silently left the stage. One of the girls, thin and tall Narine, gritting her teeth, tried in vain to crawl out from under the plump and somehow wet Maria, who was lying on her with a quiet mouse.

Move over, ”she hissed.

I can't, - sobbed Maria, - I wet myself!

Here we take a deep breath and think hard. For in order for a fierce friendship to develop between two girls for the rest of their lives, sometimes you just need one to describe the other.

In such a very original way, Narine and Manyunya became friends. And then their families became friends.

"Manyunya" is a story about a Soviet town far from any capitals and its inhabitants. About how, despite the monstrous deficit and all kinds of restrictions, people managed to live and enjoy life.

Manyunya is a book for adult children. For those who, both thirteen and sixty, believe in good things and look to the future with a smile.

Mom and Dad - with a feeling of endless love and gratitude

This book is the first collection of prose by Narine Abgaryan: the novels “Three apples fell from the sky” (awarded the “Yasnaya Polyana” prize for 2016), “People who are always with me”, stories and stories. No matter what Narine Abgaryan writes about, about the artless life of the inhabitants of a small mountain village, about the horrors of war or about childhood - all her works speak of the beauty of life. And that in any situation you need to remain human.

“There is no place for pain on the crown of Hali-kar. All yours is in you, all yours is with you. Stone rapids, the dome of the chapel overgrown with grass, morning fogs - pouring down from the tops of the hills like rivers of milk - forward, forward, where it is possible, coming close, to look into the windows of dwellings.

A portrait of a grandmother in a blackened wooden frame, a childhood home, the graves of ancestors in an old cemetery, a red country road that begins in your heart. There are traces of those who left on it. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. One, two, three, four, five ... Do not take away, do not give. All yours are in you, all yours are forever with ...
